The town of Prostějov is situated in the northwestern part of the Haná region. The malting plant with a capacity of 2.500 t was founded in 1869.
Within the period 1993 to 1994, two modern malt lines with the LAUSMANN technology were built. Total production capacity increased to 34 000 tons of finished malt per year.

The equipment consists of state-of-the-art stainless steel steeping tanks enables intensive aeration, mixing of barley by compressed air and exhausting of CO2. Malthouse is equipped with 2 germination lines, having 6 germination boxes each. Germinating process has been shortened by half in comparison to the original technology. Optimal germinating conditions are supported by the HUPMANN cooling equipment. Germinating barley as well as the cooling air can be sprayed with water to keep the required moisture content. Two 1-floor kilns work in tandem.

Malt silos capacity of 10.000 tons is sufficient for the separate storage of malt with regards to its quality and necessary segregation before dispatch. Effective dispatching equipment enables faster dispatch of large malt amounts. Malt is also transported by plant''s own means.
